My friend and I visited for the first time on 22nd June 2025. Lovely ambience, friendly and helpful staff, delicious food. Well presented on the plate. Highly recommended.
We couldn’t speak highly enough of all aspects of what Gochu has to offer. The food, staff & atmosphere has always been top class. If it’s a date or a party of people our experience has always been nothing but exactly what we wanted. Be sure to give it ago you won’t be disappointed!
A small looking restaurant from the front, but the inside does not disappoint. Dark and moody decor is met by slithers of bright LEDs and lamps. The rooftop bar is tight but the windows make it feel bigger. The main dining room again is narrow but you don't feel squashed in like some other restaurants. Our waiting staff Eva was friendly answered any questions we had and explain the menu great. She recommended 2-3 small plates each or 1 big plate and 1-2 small plates each. I ordered 2 small plates, 1 small sushi, 1 large plate and a snack, for me it was the perfect amount of food. All the food portion sized were fitting to their price comparison and all of it tasted amazing. One of the letdowns was the size of the sushi, considering 4 sushi pieces was 10, I expected them to be a bit bigger in size, but they were the smallest sushi I've ever seen. Overall I will come back to this restaurant in the future. The price to taste is excellent and everything tasted amazing.
This place was recommended to us by a friend and I'd happily pass the recommendation on to others. Very modern and clean environment greeted with a warm welcome, the staff were brilliant and offered some great suggestions. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing and the food was delicious and very well presented. Really enjoyed our visit If you're looking for amazing food in Poulton this is the place to go.

Our second visit today and once again it was phenomenal. Place was busy, which is nice to see. Atmosphere and food were amazing. Great manager at the front, couldn’t do more for us if we wanted to. Can’t wait till we go back!

We’ve been twice, sat on the middle and upper floors. Both are different but equally as nice to be in, and upstairs in the winter there are heaters and blankets available. The food is excellent, one of the best restaurants around the area. Portions are small but it’s 100% quality over quantity. The karaage chicken and bao buns are absolute highlights. Not many deserts but the sticky toffee pudding was really nice. The drinks menu is extensive, with plenty of classic cocktails and their own fresh spins on them. The peats dragon seems like a take on a penicillin and was outstanding. Outside of cocktails there are wines and spirits in abundance, with lots of Japanese whiskies and sake. Finally the staff are so nice, so polite, and both times have done their best to make us comfortable and make it a great night. It’s not a cheap place to eat, but we felt it was worth every penny, and they gave us a nice happy anniversary plate, which was a really nice touch.
